Maersk Announces Major Personnel Appointment

On December 30, Maersk announced that Ditlev Blicher will take on the role of President, North America, January 1, 2026. Blicher, who has been serving as President, Asia-Pacific, since 2023, will transition into the role.



A logistics industry veteran, Blicher joined Maersk in 2020 and brings extensive global experience in operations and integrated management.



Prior to joining Maersk, he served as CEO of DB Schenker’s Asia-Pacific region. Additionally, he held the position of President, Asia and Europe, at UTi Worldwide, and Executive Vice President, Group Operations, at CEVA Logistics.



Ditlev Blicher said he looks to partnering with the talented team in North America to continue growing from their strong foundation. As Maersk transitions into a full-service logistics provider, the company will be focused on sustainable growth, strengthening operational excellence, and delivering best-in-class service experiences to customers.



Charles van der Steene, who has served as President, America, since January 2024, will assume the role of Managing Director, Maersk India, Middle East and Africa.



Previously, he as Regional Managing Director, Damco, from 2016 to 2019 before the company was acquired by Maersk in 2019
