On November 2nd, the newly launched CIM (China-Indonesia-Malaysia) Asia-Pacific container route under Evergreen Marine Group marked a historic moment.

The EVER OUTWIT (Evergreen's flagship) successfully completed its maiden voyage at the Port of Dalian, a milestone event that signified the expansion of Evergreen's direct Southeast Asia shipping routes in the Dalian port area. In addition to the existing routes from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Thailand, and the Philippines, a highly strategic direct route to Indonesia was added, injecting new vitality into regional logistics and trade development.

Highlights of the route: Direct coverage, seamless connection between China's coastal ports and key ports in Indonesia

The CIM route is meticulously planned, stopping at the four major important ports along China's coastline: Dalian, Tianjin, Qingdao, and Ningbo, forming a powerful domestic logistics hub network. In Indonesia, it directly services Surabaya and Jakarta, two core areas. Surabaya, as Indonesia's industrial hub, boasts a strong industrial base and diverse industries; Jakarta is the capital economic circle of Indonesia, gathering resources and vitality from politics, economy, culture, and more. This route successfully establishes a quick 13-day channel between "Dalian-Indonesia," significantly shortening cargo transportation time and improving logistics efficiency.

The launch of this route is a key move in Evergreen Marine's Asia market layout. Under the current global trade pattern, the demand for two-way trade between Northeast Asia and Southeast Asia is showing a growing trend. With the booming development of Indonesia's economy, its regional trade potential continues to be unleashed, becoming an indispensable important force in the Asian trade map. Evergreen Marine keenly captures this market trend, timely launching the CIM route, aiming to further optimize the supply chain network by providing more efficient and reliable transportation services, creating greater business value for customers. This move not only reflects Evergreen Marine's precise grasp of market changes but also highlights its leading position and forward-looking strategic vision in the Asian logistics field.

It is reported that the CIM route will be operated by a strong fleet of 5 ships of 1900TEU-2200TEU, and maintain a stable weekly schedule. This type of capacity configuration and frequency arrangement can fully meet the market's demand for cargo transportation, ensuring that goods arrive at their destination on time and safely. The route is under Evergreen's "Asia Regional Route" network, relying on Evergreen Marine's mature operational management system and abundant route resources, providing customers with more stable and reliable transportation services.

Indonesia, as the largest economy among ASEAN countries and China's third-largest trading partner in ASEAN countries, has a long history of trade with China and a solid foundation. China's import demand from Indonesia has been stable and diversified for a long time. Indonesia is rich in natural resources, ranking first in the world in palm oil and palm kernel exports, second in natural rubber production, and also possessing abundant copper ore, ferroalloy, wood pulp, and other resources, which are all important commodities in strong demand in the Chinese market.

The maiden voyage of Evergreen Marine's CIM route has undoubtedly built a more convenient and efficient bridge for logistics and trade between Northeast Asia and Southeast. With the stable operation and continuous development of this route, it is believed that it will inject new impetus into the upgrading and optimization of the regional industrial chain, creating more opportunities and development space.
