Ocean Network Express (ONE) recently announced the signing of an agreement to acquire a minority stake in Dalian Container Terminal (DCT).
DCT is located in the largest foreign trade container hub in Northeast China and is one of the largest dedicated container terminals in the region. The terminal has an annual handling capacity of6.6 million TEU, equipped with 14 container berths, a total quay length of 4,390 meters, and is equipped with modern equipment with superior water depth conditions to accommodate large container ships.
Hiroki Tsujii, Global Chief Officer, Products & Network, ONE, said, "The acquisition a minority stake is in line with our strategy to secure access rights at key regional ports. Holding a stake allows us to collaborate with DCT, aiding its continuous advancement of infrastructure green terminal projects, further solidifying Dalian's position as an important gateway for international trade in Northeast China."
