Maersk and CMA CGM Start New Oceania Route Space Charter Cooperation

Recently, Maersk announced that it will provide capacity to CMA CGM on the Oceania route through a charter party agreement from January 026, continuing to focus highly on providing high-quality, stable, and reliable services with a guaranteed weekly slot.
In addition, Maersk stated that it continue to own and operate the Oceania route service in full.
After two years of the Red Sea crisis, large container lines generally face multiple pressures, such as forced extendedages, rising fuel and time costs, and persistent weak freight rates. Slot charter cooperation may, to some extent, become one of the effective means for shipping companies to alleviate cost pressures
