According to CCTV news reports, in 2025, the Ningbo-Zhoushan Port remarkable results in cargo throughput, successfully surpassing the 1.4 billion tons milestone, becoming the world's first super port to enter the "1.4 billion tons", and has maintained the position of first in the world's cargo throughput for 17 consecutive years.


Meanwhile, the annual container throughput of the port has also excellent performance, exceeding 43 million standard boxes, and firmly occupying the third place among ports worldwide, achieving a qualitative leap and improvement in comprehensive operational capacity.


As of end of 2025, Ningbo-Zhoushan Port has 309 container routes, which are like a huge transportation network, closely connecting more 700 ports in more than 200 countries and regions around the world. Every day, the port welcomes and sees off nearly 300 ships, and port connectivity index ranks second in the world, demonstrating its strong position as an international logistics hub.


The sea-rail intermodal transport business of Ningbo-Zhhan Port is developing rapidly. At present, there are more than 110 sea-rail intermodal transport routes, covering a wide range and radiating to 69ecture-level cities in 16 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities) across the country. At the same time, the port has also deployed 40 inland without water, further expanding the logistics service network. In 2025, the volume of sea-rail intermodal transport business exceeded 2 million standard boxes, providing strong for regional economic development and logistics transportation.


In addition, Ningbo-Zhoushan Port has been continuously promoting the innovation of logistics models. The "Ning-Zhoushan Port-Wilhelm Port" China-Europe Express has entered a normalized operation stage, and this route has successfully shortened the sailing time between China and by more than 10 days. In September 2025, the China-Europe Arctic Container route officially started its maiden voyage in Ningbo-Zhoushan Port.
