New direct flight! Mediterranean Shipping upgrades route: Asia-East Africa, departing Tokyo on November 9th

Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) announced the integration of its “Oryx” and “Origami” services to create an upgradedOrigami” service, which provides a direct connection between Japan, Korea, China, Singapore, and Tanzania and Kenya.


The first vessel in the rotation of the service will be the MSC General IV (voyage number JL546A), which will commence its voyage from Tokyo on November 9, 205.


The upgraded “Origami” service will offer unique new competitive advantages for cargo shippers, enhancing transportation efficiency and aiding the related markets in tapping into new business, particularly in the automotive, electronics, chemical, and construction materials industries.


The new service rotation is as follows:


Tokyo - Yokohama - Sbo - Nagoya - Busan - Ningbo - Singapore - Mombasa - Dar es Salaam - Singapore - Kaohsiung - Busan -
