CStar Line and STF Shipping, container shipping lines, have begun to suspend services and no longer new transportation orders. Market participants suspect that the reason is problems with settlements with the largest customer Delo Group.
CStar Line, a shipping company that operated international routes to (registered in the UAE), and its subsidiary in the Far East market, STF Shipping, are gradually reducing their business, according to InfraNews.
Several in the transport market said that the Russian agents of the two carriers, "Login NMP", have stopped accepting applications for the transportation of vessels on recent voyages (already in the schedule).
According to one of the interviewees of InfraNews, containers that have been accepted for transportation will be delivered to the destination, but then the will transfer the vessels to anchor.
"Login NMP", located in the city of Nakhodka, confirmed to InfraNews that, following negotiations with the carriers new orders are no longer accepted at the moment and is waiting for further instructions, and recommends that customers use the services of other shipping lines to transport cargo. The contact phone number the Moscow office of "Login NMP" is the same as the contact phone number of the headquarters of the "Delo" group. "Delo" group headquarters told InNews that "Delo" group has "no relation" to "Login NMP", and that "there are other companies" at the same address.
At the same, market participants suspect that the reason for the suspension of the service is the financial problems of the carriers. "These shipping companies are currently unable to pay for the port call of vessels. In addition, they are burdened with debt and have a large cash gap. They unload imported goods, but do not load exported goods, and also transfer vessels anchor," said one market participant. He noted that the largest customer for the two carriers is the "Delo" group. Another interviewee of InfraNews also confirmed that main customer of these routes is the company of the "Delo" group, and the root of the current problems lies in serious obstacles in financial settlements.
When asked about, the press service of the "Delo" group refused to respond, saying only that "it does not comment on the business activities of other companies".
Previously InfraNews reported that in July, "Vostochny kontor", a company of the "Delo" group (managing one of the container terminals the Far East), through the court, demanded from CStar Line to pay debts of more than 862 million rubles. The case is being considered in thebitration Court of the Primorsky Territory, details of which have not yet been made public, and neither of the parties to the dispute has commented on the details of the case
CStar Line is a container sea carrier from Dubai, which became one of the leaders of the Russian shipping market in 2023. It is ranked 10th in the global carriers' fleet ranking.
In August last year, the company reduced its business in the Far East, where it had been using the VSC terminal the port of Vladivostok, Primorsky Krai, and then transferred all its services to the Chinese company STF SHIPPING LIMITED, expanding its business to China Korea. In June 2025, CStar Line also suspended two regular liner services from Novorossiysk to the Black Sea, and promised to resume these services.
