According to foreign media reports, TS Lines will withdraw from the transpacific route next month (November) and withdraw its only operating vessel the Asia-US West Coast route (AWC), which is jointly operated by TS Lines, SeaLead, and KMTC.

Linerlytica, consulting company headquartered in Asia, stated that the TS Tacoma, a container ship with a capacity of 2,954 standard boxes, will complete its last AWC route in Busan on October 29th, and then be transferred to operate on the China-Australia CA3 route.

This news comes as other niche shipping companies also withdrawing from the transpacific route due to the new port fees in the United States that took effect on the 14th and the continued decline in freight rates on trade route, with the spot rates on the transpacific route falling by about 60% year-on-year.

TS Lines is ranked 20th Alphaliner TOP 100.

Founded in Taiwan, China in 2001, TS Lines focuses on container shipping services with its core strategy of own fleet and regular routes. It started the Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan route in 2001, expanded to the Philippines, Indonesia and other regions in 202, and extended to Australia, America routes in 2010.

It is reported that Hede Shipping has also reduced its business scale on the transpacific before the implementation of the port fee increase for Chinese-related tonnage vessels in the United States.
