China Customs' Mutual Recognition Arrangements with Thailand and Benin Officially Implemented! A Major Boost for Trade Facilitation

The mutual recognition arrangements of the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) system between China Customs and the customs authorities of Thailand and Benin will officially take effect on August 1, 2025.


Once implemented, China Customs and the customs of Thailand and Benin will mutually recognize each other’s AEO-certified enterprises. Under the arrangement, AEO companies from both sides will enjoy facilitated customs clearance for imported goods, including reduced inspection rates, priority inspection and clearance, and designated customs liaison officers.
