Hapag-Lloyd has announced a new surcharge.
A Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) is introduced for cargo moving from Asia and Oceania regions to Dar es Salaam port in Tanzania. The PSS will be applicable from January 1, 2026 (on the day of vessel's stuffing) until further notice.
The specific particulars of this PSS are as follows:
400 USD per TEU
Applicable to all container types
*Asian & Oceanian Region coverage countries and areas: Brunei, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong of China, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Laos, Macau of China, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan of China, Thailand, Vietnam, Australia, Cook Islands, Fiji, Micronesia, New Caledonia, New Zealand, French Polynesia, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Vanuatu, Wallis and Futuna Islands
