On August 5, 2026, JCtrans Shanghai Headquarters will move to a new address on Shanghai’s North Bund, directly across the Huangpu River from the Oriental Pearl Tower.

For JCtrans, this is more than a change of office. It marks the beginning of the company’s next stage of development.

And the story of this next chapter begins in 2003.

JCtrans was founded in 2003.

The international logistics industry has changed considerably since then, but one challenge has remained for freight forwarders worldwide: how to overcome geographical and information barriers, find the right partners more efficiently, build trust, and turn new connections into real business.

In the past, freight forwarders often relied on local networks, personal introductions, and relationships built over many years when searching for business partners.

JCtrans began with a different approach. Rather than simply bringing companies together, we set out to reduce the barriers created by geography, limited information, and a lack of trust. Our aim was to give logistics companies from different markets and business communities a place where they could find one another, learn about one another, and begin working together.

We wanted to change not only how logistics companies found partners, but how international cooperation took place.

The year 2021 marked an important turning point in the development of JCtrans and the beginning of a new stage for the platform.

This relocation is about more than a new address.

By establishing a stronger presence here, we can stay closer to the core activities of the international logistics industry, respond more quickly to market changes, better understand the needs of logistics companies, and maintain closer ties with our global partners.
