The expansion aimed to increase its annual brewing capacity.

To support this, oversized storage tanks were required. Unloading required a tandem lift using two cranes due to the tank length. After unloading, they were carefully placed onto their foundations. ACIS was responsible for receiving the tanks from the vessel, staging them temporarily, and managing the unloading and installation. The project prioritized safety, cost-efficiency, and timely execution.

Key Challenges

Urban constraints in Bacolod City posed a major challenges-narrow roads, bridges, and overhead cables complicated transport. The size and weight of the tanks demanded meticulous route planning and risk mitigation.

Results

The project was completed on time and within budget. All tanks were delivered, unloaded and installed without incident. Safety and regulatory standards were met, operations were not disrupted, and stakeholder expectations were fulfilled. The project demonstrated strong planning, execution and coordination.

Lesson Learned

Key lessons included the value of early stakeholder engagement, clear communication, contingency planning, and flexibility. The use of specialized equipment and police escorts proved critical. Real-time problem-solving helped navigate unexpected challenges and ensured success.
