Recently, a container ship named NCL Salten, flying the flag of Cyprus and with a deadweight of 886 tons, ran aground overnight just a few meters away from a house on the shore of Trondheim Fjord in Norway.

It is learned that this ship belongs to the North Sea Container Line. For the time being, there are no reports of oil leakage or casualties. The only actual damage was caused by a heating pipe outside the house, and the boat was parked in the shallow water area.

The cause of the accident is still unclear and is currently under investigation.

The Norwegian Coast Authority is working with the shipowner to take over the salvage operation. There are several tugboats in the area that can assist with the salvage work.

Local media said that the owner of the house by the shore was named Johan Helberg and he didn't even know this incident had happened. According to him, the place where he slept was only 7 meters away from the grounding point at the bow.

NCL SALTEN (IMO 9252773, MMSI 209762000) is a container ship built in 2002 and is currently sailing under the flag of Cyprus.

The AIS shows that at the time of the incident, the ship was sailing to the port of Orkanger in Norway.

North Sea Container Line, abbreviated as NCL, is a Norwegian shipping enterprise that focuses on container transportation services in the Nordic and European regions and takes green shipping technology innovation as its core development direction.
