Starting from January 7, wildfires have been successively breaking out in Los Angeles County, California. While the "Palisades" and "Eaton" wildfires had not yet been extinguished, another major fire broke out in northern Los Angeles on January 22, with the fire spreading rapidly towards communities. Local governments had to issue emergency evacuation notices once again, forcing tens of thousands of residents to evacuate.

According to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, the "Huse" fire broke out near Castaic Lake on the morning of the 22nd local time. The wildfire spread rapidly under the push of the seasonal Santa Ana winds. The Associated Press reported that in less than a day, the "Huse" fire had burned an area of 41 square kilometers. In the late afternoon of the 23rd, progress was made in firefighting efforts, with about a quarter of the fire being controlled. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said on the 23rd that nearly 54,000 people in the Castaic area were still under evacuation warnings.

Due to the rapid spread of the fire, the police closed both directions of the road in the Grapevine section of Highway 5, with all roads from Grapevine Road to the north to Highway 126 being shut down, causing traffic paralysis. Two exits of the Interstate 5 located in the evacuation zone were also closed, further exacerbating traffic congestion.

As an important logistics and cross-border e-commerce hub in the United States, Los Angeles had to close many of its warehouses due to the wildfires. For example, the LBG8 and LAX9 warehouses were out of power, and a large fire near the LGB8 warehouse led to logistics delays.

Amazon Logistics Services (FBA) was also affected, with multiple warehouses being urgently closed, such as SWF2, RFD2, SMF3, FTW1 and other warehouses no longer accepting appointments, and the appointment time was also significantly extended.

The "Accurate Weather Forecast" company estimated that the economic losses caused by the wildfires in the Los Angeles area at the beginning of this month were between 250 billion and 275 billion US dollars, and it is expected to become the most severe natural disaster in terms of losses in the United States so far. Officials from the California and Los Angeles area governments and related institutions have been widely criticized for their ineffective response to the wildfires.
