China's "Silk Road Shipping" Routes Handle 2.64 Million TEUs in First Half of 2025

According to data from the Fujian Provincial Department of Transportation, during the first half of 2025, a total of 128 “Silk Road Shipping” container routes were in operation within China, with 2,274 vessel voyages completed and a total container throughput of 2.6395 million TEUs.


In Fujian Province alone, 74 “Silk Road Shipping” routes operated during the same period, completing 1,146 vessel voyages and achieving a container throughput of 1.2337 million TEUs, representing a 4.55% increase compared to the same period last year.


Since the official launch of the “Silk Road Shipping” routes in 2018, as of June 30, 2025, the 128 routes nationwide have cumulatively handled 19,907 vessel voyages and achieved a total container throughput of 23.4707 million TEUs.


As the first international shipping and logistics service platform in China specifically designed to serve trade along the “Belt and Road” routes, the “Silk Road Shipping” network has consistently attracted significant attention and usage from foreign trade enterprises.
