Cosco shipping (guangzhou) co., ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of China cosco shipping group co., LTD., a large state-owned backbone enterprise. On July 1, 1997, China ocean shipping (group) corporation was established on the basis of Shanghai ocean shipping, guangzhou ocean shipping, dalian ocean shipping and other large state-owned transportation enterprise groups, with the headquarters in Shanghai. Guangzhou shipping (group) co., LTD has become an important member of China shipping group. On February 18, 2016, China ocean shipping and China cosco group were integrated and restructured to establish China cosco shipping group co., LTD. On June 28, the company was renamed cosco shipping (guangzhou) co., ltd. and became an important part of the new group's "6+1" industrial cluster.
