Heavy lifts and global supply chain management for Norwegian offshore redevelopment project

A major offshore redevelopment project in the Norwegian sector required a logistics partner capable of handling heavy lifts, oversized cargo, and a global supply chain spanning Europe, Scandinavia, and the United States. The work scope centred on the construction of a new production and accommodation platform and involved coordinating thousands of tonnes of specialist materials across multiple fabrication sites, including partial builds that had to be delivered in precise sequence. With tight schedules and high safety expectations, the client needed full assurance that every movement would be controlled, compliant, and executed without incident.

At a glance

Managed the movement of 8,500 tonnes of heavy and oversized cargo across Europe, Scandinavia, and the US, including a world-record lift, for a major Norwegian offshore redevelopment project.

Delivered end-to-end supply chain coordination with zero injuries and 65,000 incident-free man-hours, ensuring full safety and compliance.

Achieved 2.8 million GBP in cost savings through strategic planning, freight consolidation, and seamless multi-site module integration.

Approach

We delivered a hands-on, end-to-end freight management solution, centralising project coordination with specialist forwarders experienced in high-risk, large-scale logistics. Every freight type, from general cargo to abnormal loads and heavy lifts, was managed across multiple sites and stages of fabrication. Flexible, multi-stage planning allowed partially completed modules to be integrated into larger assemblies seamlessly. Safety and compliance were embedded at every step, ensuring operations ran smoothly and without incident. Our approach combined global supply chain integration with real-time operational management, adapting to the complexities of the build process while maintaining efficiency, control, and on-time delivery.

Impact

The operation achieved:

8,500 tonnes of cargo delivered on schedule, including a world-record lift.

Zero injuries and 65,000 incident-free man-hours in the final phase.

2.8 million GBP in cost savings through smart planning and freight consolidation.

Seamless coordination across Europe, Scandinavia, and the US.

This project demonstrated our ability to manage technically demanding, high-profile logistics projects with precision, safety, and cost efficiency, reinforcing our reputation as a trusted lead logistics provider.

South Korean shipyard to Corpus Christi site: Full lifecycle logistics for three major platforms

A major offshore operator had suffered a costly logistics failure when electrical cabinets were left outside a shipyard in South Korea by a previous supplier, resulting in $10 million of losses. To prevent a repeat, we were appointed as Lead Logistics Provider for three offshore platforms destined for the Gulf of Mexico. Our mission was to ensure all components arrived safely, on time, and without disruption to project delivery.

At a glance

End-to-end control of a complex, multi-location supply chain from South Korea to the Gulf of Mexico.

Embedded oversight and disciplined risk management kept materials protected, accounted for, and on schedule.

Integrated freight and logistics partners delivered reliable, disruption-free execution across all three platform projects.

Approach

We managed the full supply chain from source to site. Personnel were embedded at critical locations, including the South Korean shipyard and Corpus Christi assembly facility, providing direct oversight of materials and activities.
